Privacy Policy: What Sierra Spa Journal Collects and Why
What does Sierra Spa Journal’s privacy policy cover?
This Privacy Policy covers calmassage.com, the site where Sierra Spa Journal publishes reporting on California bodywork licensing and spa market changes. It applies to pages we publish and to email the Sierra Spa Editorial Desk sends and receives. It does not cover other sites we link to.
What information do you collect when I read the site?
Reading Sierra Spa Journal does not require an account. Our hosting provider’s logs may record your browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request so the site stays available.
If you email contact@calmassage.com, we hold what you put in the message, such as your name, your email address, and anything you describe about a booking question.
We do not ask readers for payment details, and the site has no newsletter signup form that stores an address.
How is that information used?
Email sent to the desk is used to answer the question, to check a licensing claim, or to correct a story. Nothing you send is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers. Contact details are not used to build advertising profiles.
Log data is used to keep pages loading and to spot traffic patterns such as a page that fails to load for many readers.
Do you use cookies or third-party trackers?
Sierra Spa Journal does not run advertising cookies and does not embed third-party trackers on calmassage.com. A reader who arrives from another site may see that referring site in the log data described above, which tells us which of our articles people find useful.
How long do you keep what I send?
Email to the Sierra Spa Editorial Desk stays in the desk mailbox while the story it concerns is being worked on. Once a correction or question is settled, older messages are deleted from the working mailbox. Server logs are rotated out on the schedule our hosting provider sets, not kept indefinitely.
How do I ask for my information to be removed?
Send a request to contact@calmassage.com and the Sierra Spa Editorial Desk will delete the email messages tied to that address from the working mailbox. We cannot retrieve information that has already left our mail server through normal mail delivery.
Does this policy cover the practitioners I read about?
No. Practitioners, studios, and schools mentioned in our articles run their own businesses and keep their own records. Any booking, intake form, or payment arrangement you make with them is between you and that business, and you should ask them directly how they handle your details.
Will the policy change?
When California health rules or our coverage change, this Privacy Policy changes with them. The version on this page is the one that applies, and contact@calmassage.com reaches the Sierra Spa Editorial Desk for questions about it.
